Installations
My recent body of work has been focused on the exploration of discarded materials found on the streets of Atlanta and how these materials can be utilized to create a connection between the forgotten/past to the new/now. By using found/salvaged pieces of wood, discarded furniture and other objects of personal interest, I am creating works that have direct connections to the neighborhoods of Atlanta while also referencing ideas of object memory, gentrification, object history, cultural wastefulness, and hidden beauty.
